Green Talks: Delivering a pipeline of established technologies

06 October 2020

The challenge of delivering proven low carbon technologies at ever increasing scale is critical in the pathway to net zero.

Samuel Leupold, GIG’s Chairman of Wind Energy; Andreas Nauen, CEO of Siemens Gamesa; and Mechthild Wörsdörfer, Director of Sustainability, Technology and Outlooks at the IEA discuss how we meet that challenge and get it right for the next decade.

This conversation was filmed at Macquarie GIG Green Energy Conference 2020 (GEC2020), held virtually for the first time.

The conference agenda focused on the decisive decade.  Over the next ten years we need to see proven renewable technologies deployed at an ever-increasing scale, new technologies urgently advanced, decarbonisation extended beyond energy and climate resilience move into the mainstream.

Introductory remarks from the panel discussing what has gone well and what lessons have been learnt over the past decade in renewable energy.
